Users can track the pollen count in their neighbourhood or at any location in real time and improve their indoor air quality based on this data. Especially during the hay fever season, it is important for allergy sufferers to know when they should ventilate their rooms and when windows should remain closed due to pollen count.

USE AND FUNCTION
With Wave Mini, you can always keep an eye on your indoor climate including airborne chemicals (VOCs), temperature and humidity thanks to the 4 built-in sensors. The Wave Mini also offers a new, very useful feature: a mould risk indicator. Air quality and temperature vary from room to room and from day to day. The best way to achieve optimum comfort and health & nutrition is to constantly measure in every room and take corrective action if necessary. A hand movement in front of the device is enough to visualise the current values with the help of a colour display in the sense of the traffic light colours green, yellow or red. With the help of the free, easy-to-set-up app, the current and historical values can be displayed clearly and with graphics on your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The base can be attached to the wall with a single screw and magnets hold the device to the base. Alternatively, you can integrate Wave Mini unobtrusively into the room using the stand included in the scope of delivery.

MOULD RISK INDICATION
To get the most accurate indication of mould, the Wave Mini should be placed where mould is most likely to grow. The most susceptible areas are often the coldest and least ventilated. Here are some examples:
- right next to the wall or on the windowsill;
- under or behind furniture;
- on the floor near external walls;
- next to external walls in the cellar.

Airthings' mould risk indication is based on the ASHRAE mould index. Our scale goes from 0-10 and the measured values are shown in the usual traffic light colours.
* Green (0-3): Good. There is only a low risk of mould growth. If the value is above 0, however, it is quite possible.
* Yellow (3-5): Average. Mould mainly develops on susceptible materials such as textiles and wood.
* Red (5-10): Bad. There is a high risk of mould growth on all materials.
The measurement data of the mould risk indicator is of course also available via our online dashboard.

The mould risk indicator does not detect mould spores in the air. However, it shows you if the conditions in a room are conducive to mould growth. This means that Wave Mini is a very useful tool for preventing mould growth or proactively watching out for the risks of mould.

The mould risk indicator uses an algorithm based on the temperature and humidity sensors to calculate how quickly mould can grow under the current conditions. Since the material on which the mould grows is an important condition for the speed of mould growth, we have taken the more susceptible materials into account in our calculations: Wood and textiles.
