The Planck Creator SSD with 2 TB of storage space was developed for sustainable recordings and a smooth mobile workflow - from 4K/120 ProRes Log on the iPhone to fast plug-and-edit on the laptop. The slim, smartphone-adapted housing, heat-optimised design and wireless USB-C direct connection keep things tidy and prevent image loss. Film longer, move faster, edit sooner - without changing the way you work.

Record Apple ProRes directly to external storage - up to 4K/120 on iPhone 16/17 Pro (and 4K/60 on iPhone 15 Pro). Bypass the phone's internal storage limitations, record longer and preserve the quality of your footage even on demanding shoots. Connect the device to USB-C and use Planck like your camera's recorder, not just as a backup drive.

In contrast to desktop-oriented SSDs, which are designed for short peak loads, Planck is optimised for continuous write operations at high bit rates. The behaviour of the controller and the write pipeline are designed to keep the curve flat during long recordings, reducing the risk of glitches or frame drops and ensuring your footage remains clear, consistent and usable.

NVMe performance of up to 1050 MB/s (USB 3.2 Gen 2) provides a generous overhead beyond the ~440 MB/s throughput required by ProRes 4K/120. This speed also pays dividends after the shoot - fast transfers to your laptop, smoother previews and smoother edits when you need to edit content quickly.

Planck is pocket-sized and specially designed for smartphone holders. It "disappears" in your hand and provides balance on a gimbal. The robust metal and polycarbonate construction is dust and splash-proof and can withstand drops from up to 3 metres. The clear cable routing minimises tripping hazards so that you can move naturally, travel light and concentrate fully on shooting.
