How exactly does tado° help me? With the tado° smart air conditioning control, you can cool your home via the app whilst saving energy and money, without compromising on comfort. Smart features such as open-window detection, intelligent schedules, room control, weather forecast-based control and geofencing make this possible. The app shows you how much you’ve saved, how to improve your indoor climate and what the humidity level is – for example, to prevent mould growth.

Geofencing – only better: tado° Geofencing doesn’t just switch your air conditioning on and off. You decide whether and how to pre-cool your home before you return, and what temperature your home should be whilst you’re away. And you never have to wait for your ideal temperature.

Compatible with your air conditioning and heat pump if they have an infrared remote control with a display. tado° works with almost all brands and manufacturers. Among other things, you can control the temperature in car, drying or recirculation mode, and set different fan speeds and the airflow direction.

It’s so simple and smart: easy DIY installation with step-by-step instructions in the app, tailored specifically to your air conditioning system. Energy IQ gives you full transparency over energy consumption, costs and savings, including month-on-month comparisons. In addition, geofencing and open-window detection are fully automated. Auto-Assist can be subscribed to in the app for €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year and can be cancelled at any time.

You can also subscribe to Balance AC, which shifts your air conditioning’s energy consumption to times when prices on the electricity market are particularly low. This helps you save up to 22% of the energy consumed by your air conditioning. Available in the app for €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year, and can be cancelled at any time.

With the handy tado° stand, you can optionally place the air conditioning controller on a table or any other surface. This allows tado° to measure the temperature where it makes the most sense and deliver the best results.

If you have several air conditioning units in your home, you can control each one individually via the app. One Smart Air Conditioning Controller is required per air conditioning unit.
